Stamped watercolour card

IMG_0503Welcome to another card make. For this card I decided to use my travel set of cotman watercolours, which was the first set of watercolours I purchased, but any watercolours will do. Don’t be frigthened of watercolours, this is never going to be a work of art but it is all good pratice and the cotman are student grade but I have found the quality excellent.

I also wanted this card to have a torn endge and for it to look a bit rough and ready (in a good artist way. I use the First Editons Floral Fusion in 6 x 6 which I love, so many pretty papers with lots of texture to them.

Used the Feathery Friends stamp from Stampin Up but any stamp that you have would work just fine. I cut the layer to match the size of the stamp so this will vary depending on what stamp you use. To the stamp the image I heat embossed it as I found on this small image that this helped to control the flow of the watercolour and this helped the colpur stay where I wanted it!
