Birthday card with hand stamped pattern paper

Welcome to Friday’s tutorial.

This week I have taken the inspiration from a beautiful DSP from Stampin’ UP that I think is called painted with love. The paper has lots of pink and gold paint swipes and I sort of wished that I got it while I could (I am wanting for the new catalogue to do another order) so hence the kinda like pattern. I have used just one stamp set and three ink colours so not too complicated, in fact the only hard part of the card is getting all the layers right and in the correct size and order. I have used our standard card stock size of A4 but this could easily be adapted to whatever size is easy to get hold of.

The video can be played below (don’t forget to subscribe to both the blog and youtube channel)

For the card I used to following

White card base 11 1/2 by 4 1/8 scored along the long side at 5 3/4

1st mat (colour CS) 4 x 5 5/8

2nd mat (for the handstamped layer) 3 7/8 x 5 1/2

3rd mat (2nd colour) 2 7/8 x 4 1/2 and

4th mat (white) 2 3/4 x 4 3/8

Stamped set of choice but one that you can make beautiful paper with and

Three ink colours.

I hope that will look at your stamp sets in a different way and use them is a pattern making tool.

Thanks and happy crafting.
