Harvest time card

Today I have used my coloured pencils to colour in a lovely little Autumnal stamp from Pleasant Pheasant, the one with the little wheel barrow and the pumpkins. DSC01368 (2).JPGI absolutely love all the interesting colours and shapes of pumpkins so this stamp is right up my street. For simplicity I decided to use the same colours for all of my pumpkins but of course feel free to change them up is you want more variety.
Although I have a couple of sets of different brands of coloured pencils (I am ashamed to admit they hardly ever get used) I chose the prismacolour for a few reason, one they are fairly easy to get hold of and they seem to be reasonable priced. They come in lots of colours and they lay down a really intense and creamy texture and plus in my book. However us whatever pencil you have even raid your children’s with permission please colouring pencils and try with them.SONY DSC
With colour pencil I like to have a paper with a bit of tooth i.e. texture and I found out that our thick whisper white worked really well although I didn’t put a lot of layers down.
